Ondine Florin

An abandoned plot is available in an allotment in Ile-de-France. The point was to imagine a house that could fit in that environment, based on a standard Phenix house plan that had no defined facade or height. We decided to enhance the very long corridor running through the whole house by transforming it into a sculptural and independent element, both separating and federating the two other volumes. The first one that is opened to the garden hosts the living room and children's rooms and is very high ; the other one is more inward because of the nearest house, and hosts functional spaces and parents' room. That structure reminds of the irregular and vegetal landscape.

 

Une parcelle abandonnée est disponible dans un lôtissement de la région parisienne. Le principe était d'imaginer une maison pouvant s'intégrer à cet environnement, basé sur un plan standard de maison Phenix sans aucune façade ou hauteur définie. Nous avons décidé de valoriser le très long couloir qui traverse la totalité de la maison en le transformant en un élément sculptural et indépendant, à la fois séparateur et fédérateur pour les deux autres volumes. Le premier, très haut, est ouvert sur le jardin et contient le salon et les chambres d'enfants ; le second est plus renfermé en raison du vis à vis à la maison voisine, et contient les espaces servants et la chambre parentale. Cette structure rappelle le paysage irrégulier et végétal.
